Ouran Roleplay

Takuya pulled at the fluffy pink boa that was draped upon his neck. It was itchy and he swore he inhaled enough glitter to make his stools sparkle. But his younger sister glared at him whenever he tried to take it off. She sat at the head of the table, a gold tiara, encrusted with only the finest diamonds, adorned her four-year old head.

Six children sat at Ahiru's Tea Party Table. The child to his right was from his class, Kyo-chan. He was engaging Ahiru in a conversation about the strawberry shortcake Ahiru had brought. All the girls looked on in jealously as the King of Kindergarden showered Ahiru with his attention.

Well, all but one girl. The child sat to his left was in a light pink, princess gown, with matching barrettes and ribbons pinned to her short blonde hair. She was greedily shoving cake down mouth leaving a mess of frosting and crumbs on her face. "Ahi-chan~ more please." The girl passed Ahiru her empty plate.
"Honey-san, that's your fifth piece." She said with a frown. "There is no more." Ahiru gestured around the small table. Only a few crumbs were left on the cake tray.
"But I want some now!" Honey wailed and began to cry. Takuya slid his plate in front of her and stood from the table. She immediately stopped crying and swallowed the piece whole.
"Lunch is almost over, I'm going back to class." Kyoya bowed the girls, took Ahiru's hand and kissed the back of her hand.
"Thank you for having me at your tea party. They are always wonderful." He said before leaving with Takuya.

"Mitsukuni." Came the calm voice from the doorway.
"Takashi! Perfect timing, we need more cake!" The first grader walked into the classroom and pulled at Honey's collar. "No! I don't wanna go!" Honey tried to slip away but tripped over the dress. He tumbled to the floor, pulling the table cloth down with him. Drinks and unfinished pieces of cakes splattered on Ahiru and her friends. They stood with a start. "Oh no!"
"My dress! This was a special order too!" One cried.
"This is the worst tea party ever!"
"Angelina-chan." Another scolded.
"No it's true," Angelina continued. She flipped her reddish hair over her shoulder. "The only reason we came to your stupid parties was because of Kyo-chan."

Honey growled as he saw Ahiru's eyes began to water. "Shut up." The girls turned to him.
"What was that?"
"I said shut up!" He shouted as his fist connected with the girl's face. She reeled backwards, screeching over the crunching of her bones. Blood trickled beneath her hands, causing the other girls to recoil from fear and disgust.
"Y-you'll pay for this!" She screamed as she ran away.

Honey hugged Ahiru, patting the younger girl on the back. "There, there Ahi-chan. I'll make sure no one makes you cry again." The glare he sent over her head sent chills down the spines of the four and five year-olds.

Mori waited until the teacher arrived before dragging his cousin away. "Bye-bye Ahi-chan! Please bring some more cake tomorrow!"

Ahiru sighed as she looked sadly over at the mess she had to clean up. all the other girls left and said her tea party was horrible. It was sad all her friends were older. Walking over to the table she picked up the table cloth and put all the teacups in the sink across the room for the staff to clean.

Her classmates in kindergarten were't even her friends. She would be fine moving up a grade just so she could be with Taku and Kyoya.

It was second recess now and Ahiru promised Taku she was going to meet up for her break to play. Walking down the hallway she hummed to herself as she skipped and twirled down the hall.

"You are a freak!" Before Ahiru had a moment to react she found herself shoved into a closet and the door locked from outside. "Wait....HEY!!!" she yelled banging on the door. "Thats for what Honey-sempai did to Chi-chan!" she heard from outside as the group giggled as then walked away. "LET ME OUT!!!HEY!!!!" she yelled banging on the door before she started sniffing as tears welled up in her eyes.

It was dark and scary in the closet and she couldn't see anything. every time she heard a sound she jumped and she hoped anyone would walk by so she could call for help. Un able to contain her tears any longer she cried. "Taku....Kyo-kun....Honey... Somebody!" she cried smacking at the door.

"Ne....Hikaru.... did you hear something?" Koaru said as they looked around. Listening closer they heard the sound of crying along with some thumping as they walked down the hall.

Listening closely as it got louder they found a door and looked at it unsure of how to react to the situation. Shruggin the twins looked at the door before Koaru reached out and knocked on it.

"Ne... is anyone in there?"

Gasping in shock Ahiru jumped up "Please let me out! Is anyone there? Please let me out I'm scared!" she called back hitting the door repeatedly

Koaru looked at his brother confused if they should what if they got in trouble.

Hikaru crossed his arms behind his head. "Meh, whatever she did she deserves to be there." He took a few steps and was surprised to see Kaoru firmly standing by the door. "What?" Kaoru continued to glare at him. "Fine. Fine!" Hikaru walked back, which earned a smile from his twin. "Hey so like what will you give us for letting you out? You know it is very dangerous to converse with criminals." He pressed his ear up to the door and heard her sob. Kaoru had now turned a full-hard glare, threatening to burn his face off.
"Ok, we'll get you out but know this isn't free! Now step back!" He and Kaoru got in front of the door and got into position.
"On 3....3!" The twins rushed the door but promptly bounced off. Hikaru rolled onto his unbruised side and nursed his arm.
"That always works in the movies." He brushed himself off and stood. "Alright, plan B."

He glanced down the hall, no one in sight. He dashed corner to corner, victory was in range, the Kindergarden home room was just another floor to go.
"Mitsukuni."
"Ahhh!" Honey jumped out of his skin at Mori's silent approach. "Takashi, you almost gave me a heart attack." He placed his hand over his heart to calm it down. His stoic cousin just stared at him.
"Why are you wearing that?" He motioned to the salmon sailor-collar and peach neckerchief. Honey stared at him in disbelief.
"It's the Kinder uniform, how else do you think I sneak in there everyday?"
"You're wearing a skirt..."
"Of course I am! It's a tea party!" Mori remained silent. Sometimes it did no good to argue with Honey.

"Yes I'm sure it's going to work! Stop asking and backup." Hikaru yelled at the door. "Kaoru." He held out his hand and Kaoru spit a wad of gum into his palm. "Perfect." Hikaru pulled a small red ball from his pocket. He placed it against the closet's lock and cemented it in place with Kaoru's chewing gum. "Cover your ears 'cause this is going to be a loud one." Kaoru handed him a match from his pocket. The older red-head slid the match head cross the grain of the door. "Get ready to run, Kaoru." He lit the fuse of his cherry bomb. The brothers ran a little ways down the hall to wait for the explosion.

Ahiru backed up as far as she could in the closet crouching down and covered her head. it took three seconds before she headed a loud bang making her scream as the smell of sulfur started to come into the room.

Kaoru looked at the door then at his brother "Think it worked?" he asked looking at the blue colored smoke coming from the part of the cherry bomb still attached to the lock. Walking to the door Kaoru tapped the nob tentatively to check for heat before turning the nob

Takashi jumped hearing the loud pop before he ran down the hall "Mitsukuni stay there!" he yelled as he ran to the source and saw two kindergarteners at a door trying to open it "Oi you two did you make that noise?" he asked looking around.

Kaoru nodded "We tried to blow the door off its hinges but it didn't work." he stated seriously "Theres a girl locked in the closet." he said as he started jimmying the handle.

Takashi nodded as he walked over. "Move over." he said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a few things. In his hand he held a letter opener a bent paperclip. "Hey girl are you alright in there?" he asked as kaoru and hikaru stood to the side worried.

"It's dark." Ahiru whimpered

"Well just give me a second alright." he said as he looked at the door and started to bend his paperclip and fit it into the door lock and started to wiggle it so he hit special buttons one by one as he hit the last one he stuck his letter opener in and twisted as if to unlock the door and the door opened to reveal the teary eyed and shaken Ahiru.

Kaoru looked at Takashi in shock "Wow! how did you do that?!" he exclaimed "You are like some sort of supper spy!" he said as he bounced.

Takashi looked at him confused "All I did was pick the lock its super easy." turning to look in the closet he took noticed of who was stuck in the closet "Ahi-chan? What are you doing in here?" he asked in worry.

Ahiru ran out and hugged Takashi "Mori-sempai!I was so scared! It was dark and I was alone! You saved me!" she cried into his shirt as Honey started to run down the hall not being able to wait for too long.

Ahiru looked between everyone in their small group and smiled letting out a small giggle. Mori turned to her and raised his brow "I think we are all going to become great friends." she said with a wide grin wiping the sadness from her mind. She had people who came to help her and cared for her.

Kaoru tilted his head as he thought over the idea "Friends?" he questioned as he postulated over if this would benefit him and his brother. "You don't even know who we are."

Ahiru pouted before a spark of hope set her face alight. "Hi I'm Kurosawa Ahiru." she said as she bowed to him. His face showed confusion for a bit which made her pout "Now its your turn to tell me who you are."

"Oh," he said as he grabbed his brothers hand "I'm Hitachiin Kaoru." he said bowing before nudging his twin "Ow... Hitachiin Hikaru" he said as he was grudgingly dragged into bowing to who he dubbed 'The big crybaby'

Clapping her hands in excitement she ran over and hugged the two "We are going to be great friends!" she cheered before she let go of the two and ran to her brother and the older group.

"She is really happy." Kaoru said looking at his twin "Think this 'friend' thing will work?" he asked only to watch Hikaru scoff and start to pull him in the direction they were heading for earlier.

After that day the group were hardly every apart besides for class due to age difference they always seemed to find time for each other on breaks or after school. Soon time few by and they entered into middle school. and with it came all the drama of Puberty

"Ne! Hikaru you can't be serious!" Kaoru said as he look at his twin like he grew a second head

"I heard it works on all the girls! and I've read the manga's!" Hikaru said as he signaled to the book shelves

"Hikaru those are just stories! You can't tell me you really think this insane plan of yours is going to work! Ahiru is not going to like it and if you upset her you are going to have Morinozuka, Kurosawa, Ootori, or Kami fobid it Haninozuka after us!" Koaru plead to his twin only to have Hikaru scoff

"It like part of the code. Every girl knows that when a guy picks on her it means he likes her." Hikaru stated

Kaoru looked at him like he had lost his mind "Hikaru the fact those words tumbled out of your mouth means you don't understand girls at all. Even worse you don't understand Ahiru and you don't understand the situation you are dragging me into with you. Ahiru hates being picked on she is extremely sensitive. She has 4 older boys who are extremely protective of her 2 of which who are extremely good in martial arts. the fact you even like her could be a death sentence and because we are identical if they come after us I might end up beaten within a inch of my life before they catch on I'm not you!" Koaru said to his brother only for him to wave him away.

"Kaoru you are being too dramatic whats the worse that could happen." he said as he walked out the door

"Haninozuka kills me then you." Kaoru said walking after him

Ahiru sighed as she sat at the breakfast table pushing around her food. Pulling at her hair she pouted poking the long curl that sat over her shoulder.

"Ahiru-chan whats got you upset today." a butler stated as he set a plate across from her along with a napkin with 2 pills and a glass of water for her brother.

"Edmund I hate my hair."

"Ahi-chan we have been over this a billion times. Your father and mother feel it is more feminine for a young lady of your stature to have longer hair." Edmund said only to sigh every time Ahiru seemed to twitch when her hair tickled her neck, face or shoulders. The girl hated her hair long and had even come close to cropping her own hair off with some scissors. "Ahiru-chan I will talk to your mother about your hair just be patient."

"Edmund? Why does Nii-san have to drink vitamins but I don't? Doesn't Kaa-san Oto-san want me strong and healthy too?" she asked looking at him sadly.

"Oh no child you mustn't think ill of your parents sometimes they forget when they look upon their heir. But if you want I will look into picking up some special vitamins that help a young lady flourish into a beautiful woman." he said as he tapped her on the nose. "Now child eat up while I go and try and search out your lazy brother." Edmund said as he walked out of the room a look of worry on his face.

Ahiru cried as she tried to wipe the syrup out of her face. Blinded by the various flashes of light she did see a stock of orange hair and walked towards it. Seeing Hikaru stand there laughing made her tears flow more freely she starred at him everyone was congratulating him on a amazing prank and when he turned his smile to her she looked at him in shock feeling utterly betrayed.

Not able to even stand the sight of him she forced her way through the swarm of people and ran down the hall. She needed to go to the nurses office maybe they had a spare uniform she could use and a shower she could wash out this thick sticky mess.

Kaoru stood back at the end of the hall holding a female uniform in his hand. It was best he had profuse apologies ready for when Ahiru made it to the nurses office. This was a disaster and he knew it. While he stood waiting by the office he heard the multiple pings of cellphones receiving messages. This picture would have circulated the school before Ahiru made it to him and all he could feel was the shame in knowing that Hikaru came up with this public embarrassment.

There was such a thing as taking something too far and it worried him that his own twin could not see that. Poor Ahiru wouldn't want to show her face in school after this debacle he just knew it. Sensing a presence of evil near him he turned his head only to see down the hall a large and small figure glaring at him a glowing screen of a phone could be seen from where he stood.

"Kuso.... I knew it." Kaoru said and he closed his eyes with a wince and waited for the rage of the figures to make their way towards him. Hopefully his death would be swift and as painless as possible.

"Nani Takashi who would text us this early." Hani said as he pulled out his phone and looked at hit with Mori did the same. Looking at the message the two stilled as they saw the image load up. In it poor Ahiru was covered head to toe in goopy syrup and feathers. She looked shocked and almost ready to cry

Anger grew within the smaller of the two as he snapped his phone shut and shoved it into his pocket. "It appears out younger friends need to be spoken to. Don't you agree Ta.ka.shi?" Honey said as he looked up at his cousin only to have him nod with a similar stoney look.

Present time

Kaoru found himself pinned to the wall by by Morinozuka by the front of his uniform "Explain."

"It wasn't me! I didn't do anything and it wasn't my idea it was all Hikaru!" Kaoru yelled as she gripped at Mori's hand trying to get him to release him

"Why am I finding that hard to believe Kaoru-chan." Honey stated tilting his head his arms crossed.

"I swear! Hikaru has this idea in his head that this would make Ahiru like him for some stupid reason. I don't even think Kami knows how that idea was planted in his head!" Kaoru said as he kicked his legs hoping to get released.

"Tch... Drop him." Honey said with a glare practically grinding his teeth with irritation. Mori dropped Kaoru to the floor "You better not be lying to me and you better have a way to make this right." Honey said as he walked off his cousin not far behind.

"We let him go?" Mori asked looking down at Honey

"Yes he is the only one who can talk sense into his twin. We are just on damage control now. We need to make sure no one hurts Ahi-chan again. The should know by now Ahi-chan is off limits." Honey growled out

Ahiru ran down the hales till her body slammed into someone. Looking up her eyes filled with tears she saw she bodily ran into Kyoya. "Gomen! I'm sorry Kyo-kun... I didn't see... where I...was going." she hiccuped as she picked herself up and bowed at him "Gomen-nasi your uniform... oh no...I'm so sorry!" she said looking at his uniform sadly "I didn't mean to!"

Ahiru whimpered as she entered the bathroom looking around she found the room empty. She walked to the showers only to pause as she turned and looked in a full length mirror.

"Ahiru the Duck! Quack!" The class repeated after him. "Quack quack quack!"

Hearing the ghost sounds she whimpered as she covered her ears and kneeled down to the floor "No!" she yelled as she turned away from the mirror "Stop it.. Stop it stop it.." she whimpered.

Kyoya hearing Ahiru's yell rushed into the bathroom and found Ahiru on the floor. "Ahi-chan whats wrong?" he questioned looking at her with eyes full of worry.

"They won't stop laughing Kyo-kun. They won't. They called me a duck and Hika-kun started it. He made them laugh at me. Why would he do that Kyo-kun...why!" she cried looking up at him.

"Shhhh there there it'll be o.k...We will take care of it. Honey, Mori, Taku, and I we will make him answer for what he did sweet girl. Now go On take a shower. I will make sure no one comes in." Kyoya stated as he helped her up and sent her into the shower. "Now don't come out till all that syrup is gone ya here." he stated and didn't leave the bathroom till he heard the water in the shower turn on.

Kaoru loked at the bundle of clothes in his arm in worry. Worried Ahiru was held up along the way he started walking down the halls as quickly as possible. As he rushed down the halls he rehearsed an apology in his head. He paused long enough to see Kyoya come out of the girls bathroom. "Ootori-sempai?" Kaoru said in confusion pausing.

Kyoya looked up to see the Hitachiin before him not caring which twin it was he growled and grabbed Kaoru by his lapels and pinned him to the wall.

"Oi!"

"You have a lot of nerve Hitachiin!" Kyoya growled out

"I'm Kaoru!"

"And that makes it any better!"Kyoya growled out shoving Koaru back into the wall.

"I had no part in that prank! I swear! I come in peace!" Koaru said  waving his hand showing the girls uniform he held.

"But you didn't stop it." Kyoya said dropping Koaru "What kind of friend are you. Your brother doesn't have any common sense but you do! You know Ahiru she's quiet, she's sensitive, She needs us to protect her and where were you when your brother was upturning a bucket of syrup on our baby girls head? Huh!" Kyoya yelled

"He wouldn't listen to me. I tried to stop him! So I left... I wasn't going to watch him humiliate her. I like her Kyo she's my best girl. But Hikaru likes her....like likes her and he thinks by being mean like all theses stories he will get her to like him too. He doesn't understand Kyoya." Koaru said looking defeated. He slid down the wall and looked up at Kyoya.

Kyoya looked at koaru in disbelief "You are serious."

"He claims he likes her but he is willing to hurt her. He doesn't like her like you do." Koaru stated and Kyoya turned to look at him sharply "Oh don't be so surprised you don't hide it as well as you think you do. The only one who seems to be oblivious is Ahi-chan." Koaru said as he leaned his head back and sighed "You are also the only one who has a chance with her anyway." Koaru whispered

"You really think that?"Kyoya stated looking at him

"Shoot. That girl thinks you hung the moon and the stars." He said with a laugh "Since kindergarten after we helped get Ahi-chan out of the closet all she ever would talk about is her favorite friend her kyo-kun. It pisses Hikaru off so much every time she says something great that you did all he wants to do is one up you." Kaoru said "You should confess to her."

"I'll think about it. Say um... The clothes?"

"Oh sure. Look tell her I'm sorry alright. I'm sure Honey and Mori are teaching my twin a lesson by now but if he tries anything else I'll tell you." he said as he handed over the uniform.

Mori grabbed Honey after Hikaru's face planted into the wall "Come on you got your revenge and made your point we need to go before you get punished." Mori stated as he grabbed his cousin.
"Takuya grab Hikaru we are taking him to the nurse."

"Takashi why he deserves it."Honey growled out

"He has learned his lesson." Mori stated as he signaled to Takuya to grab the brat and follow him. The teacher stood off to the side flabbergasted at what had just transpired.

As the group headed down the hall towards the nurse Kyoya entered and left the bathroom as quickly as possible not wanting to be pegged as a pervert.

Ahiru finding the clean uniform exited the bathroom after being dressed in her fresh new brown ensemble. Her hair damp and feather free.

Koaru looked over from where he was leaning against the wall and smiled "Feeling better?"

Ahiru nodded "Much Koa-kun"

"My brother is an ass."

"Yea he is a big meanie" Ahiru said with a chuckle

*Beep*

Koaru looked down at his cell and winced "Ohhh that is going to hurt." Ever the curious one Ahiru rushed over only to see a clip on repeat of Honey flipping Hikaru into a wall.

Hikaru stumbled along after the older kids. Mori had to keep Honey from drilling more glares into his head. The red-head hung his head in shame. What did he do wrong? The others had to understand his motivations. He shook his head, it appeared only he knew how to get into a girl's heart, specifically Ahiru's.

Takuya's grip on his arm tightened at they walked but he tried not to show it The nurse was gone, as per her routine. Hikaru  had an awful moment when he thought Takuya would rip off his arm. Instead the other boy simply flipped him onto a vacant bed.

Honey was growling at him, his dark aura oozing off the small body.
"Don't bother Ahi-chan again....or else." He smirked as he saw Hikaru cringe.
The trio left, leaving Hikaru staring at the pink crown molding of the ceiling. His whole body ached, even a slight cough caused him pain.
"How can so much power can fit in such a tiny body?" He asked to the empty room and he drifted off into an uncomfortable sleep.

"It's only just retribution." Kyoya said. Ahiru seemed worried. Her eyes were downcast as she nibbled her lower lip. Her damp hair clung to her neck and the beginning of her jaw line. His hand reacted on instinct, going to brush it out of the way."Ahiru-chan...you really need to dry your hair properly. How many times have I told you this?"
He lifted the towel she had draped over her head and began to squeeze the moisture from her hair. With a sigh the 9th grader wrapped up her hair and tied it up. "Come now, the nurse should have a hair blower."
Before she could protest, Kyoya placed his hand on the small of her back. "Plus I doubt you want to go to class right now. Take a small rest. Doctor's orders."

Ahiru sighed as she was brought over to the nurses office. When she entered she went past the first curtained off bed and walked towards the nurses bathroom. Inside was a small spa including rain fall shower a small beauty mirror full of makeup, hair accessories and supplies a cabinet full of contacts in various colors. It was any vain girls dream come true but Ahiru just sighed as she plugged in the hair dryer and started to blow her hair dry.

Tired from the stressful morning Ahiru walked back towards the beds. Seeing the curtained off bed she decided to pull back the curtains a bit and saw Hikaru on the bed. She could see the large goose egg on his forehead that he got from Honey throwing him head first into the wall.

Ahiru felt conflicted on that issue she felt bad but at the same time she felt bad for him. A tongue lashing should have been enough but knowing Hikaru he learned best from hands on lessons anyway. not wanting to wake him up she left the curtain slightly open as she went to the other bed and laid down for a nap.

Hikaru had a fitful nap, full of tossing and turning. He awoke to an annoying, incessant sound. He peeked his head out of the curtains to see the light on in the nurse's bathroom. 'Damn girls and their hair.'

He laid down again and tried to block out the sound with his pillow. The sound stopped and footsteps approached his bed. Quickly, he fixed his pillow and pretended to sleep. The curtains rings slid across the rod and the person came closer. Hikaru hoped he looked convincing enough. The thundering of his heart was matched by the throbbing of his head.

Whoever it was turned away and Hikaru opened his eyes. 'Ahiru? What's she doing here?' He listened silently until her breathing evened out before rising out of his bed. 'She showed concern for me and didn't strike out when I was most vulnerable.' He thought.

He brushed away her bangs and laid a kiss upon her forehead. 'And Kaoru said my plan wouldn't work.' He glanced down at his sleeping angel and then over his shoulder.

"Ahiru." He whispered and kissed her gently on the lips. It was chaste kiss but left him giddy all the same.

"Hitachiin!" He stood straight. He turned around slowly, the nurse gave him a stern glare.
"I wasn't doing anything, I swear!"
"Get back in your bed." She commanded and he hopped back under the sheets.

Ahiru drifted quickly to sleep. In her dream she felt cold and alone. As she started to go deeper into dreamland she felt a slight pressure on her forehead and lips. It was strange and felt out of place but she knew it was love. Odd but not completely unwelcome. Like kissing her brother.

She was startled awake Later by the gong of the lunch bell. She had slept through half the school. Getting up she turned to see Hikaru sitting on his bed staring at her.

"...Hi..." Ahiru said looking at him oddly leaning away finding him walking her sleep entirely creepy especially due to how he treated her this morning.

Kaoru yawned as he stretched looking down the hall he watched as multiple students would look to him then quiet down immediately. For once everyone knew he was Kaoru instead of Hikaru and while it felt amazing he only knew it was cause Honey kicked the shit out of his twin.

Thinking on it he decided to turn down the hall and search out the older boys of their group. He wanted to see if everything was settled.

"Mitsukuni relax."

"Takashi I will relax when I am sure every student has deleted all traces of this mornings debacle."

Sighing Mori face palmed as he followed his cousin.

Hikaru sighed as he let his head hit the pillow. Why wouldn't she show him the same smile she showed the others? Were his pranks not enough to show her he cared? "Bigger." He muttered to the ceiling. "Something....bigger." A sly grin spread across his face.

Classes had gone by quickly and quietly. Hikaru's thrashing spread through the school faster than Ahiru's unfortunate event. The student body seemed to be walking on egg shells, especially as the tiny blond terror stalked the corridors.

"Phones now." He growled. The students lined up rigidly against the walls as Honey scanned their mobile devices.

"Honey-sempai?" Takuya and Kyoya were going to meet Ahiru for lunch when they spotted Honey threatening students.
"Is this about today's "incident"?" Kyoya asked, adjusting his glasses. Mori nodded. Honey had completely ignored them as he continued his search.

"He has a reasonable point." Takuya mused but Kyoya stopped him before he roughed up a nearby student.
"There are other means of getting what you want without tarnishing your reputation." He took the boy's silence as compliance and continued. "Honey is very popular, his cuteness factor and this dual personality of his has actually boosted his social ranking among all the grade levels. However, if say we, were to act out on Ahiru's behalf, it would just be adding gasoline to the fire."
"So you want me to do nothing?" Takuya shoved Kyoya's shoulder.
"No. I just want to be smart about it. We must work from the shadows." The darkness in the teen's eyes frightened Takuya but if it would help Ahiru, who cares?

Mori nodded "I know just who to talk to." Mori stated as he pulled out his phone and walked away for a bit. "Yea can you do me a favor.."

Ahiru blinked owlishly as a few female upper classmen grabbed her and started to pull her down a hall asking for her help. "Ru-chan we need your help!."

"But Sempai I have no idea what you mean!" Ahiru said as she was dragged down the hall and suddenly she could hear the commotion. When the girls stopped she pulled her arm away from them and she looked to see Honey glaring at the kids in the hall taking phones looking for something then either handing it to them or deleting data and taking names. Her eyes scared and wide she ran towards him.

"Mitsukuni!" She yelled as she ran at him and hugged him around the middle.

"A...AHI-Chan!" he said looking down at her in shock his dark mask falling away. He looked back up at the students he had lined up "Get lost. Be this as a warning if you don't get rid of the data I will find you." he growled out.

"Stop it Mitsu." Ahiru said into his shirt tears running down her face.

"Shhhhh Don't cry Ahi-chan I'll do whatever you need me to just don't cry." he said looking down at her

"Don't be a bully. I can't take it when you are mean. Be nice..." she said crying into his shirt.

"Ahi-chan I'm doing this to help you everyone else was being mean." he stated imploringly looking down at her with his big eyes "I'm protecting you."

Shaking her head she looked at him sadly "No you are being a bully. They are scared of you! They said you threw Hikaru through a wall! I don't want you to be a bully! I want you to be sweet and nice and eat cake with me!I miss playing tea-party with you and Mr.Bun-bun and everyone else." she said crying rivers. "We can't do that if your a bully. Cause if your a bully you won't like me anymore." she cried as she hugged him tightly and he ran his fingers through her hair

"Shhhh.... its o.k Ahi-chan I won't be a bully.... Shhhhh I'll do whatever you want its o.k." he said as he looked up sadly and his eyes met Mori's as he stepped out and looked down at Ahiru. They would bend over backwards for their little princess.

"I'm sorry... What?" Koaru said as he looked at his brother on the way home

"You heard me I want to make it up to Ahiru. The only way to do that is to do something big like be a hero. Maybe if I save her from a burning building..."

"STOP! Are you listening to yourself! You are not going to put Ahi-chan in a burning building! Great Kami above do you hear yourself! Thats beyond dangerous!" Koaru said to his brother glaring at him

"Then what do you suggest?"

"Flowers! Chocolates! A new Doll! A dress! Hell Buy her a PONY!"

Hikaru sighed and slouched "But thats so boring and thats what commoners do! We are not commoners! I need to do something big and fantastic!"

"You do realize she hates you right now. She probably hates you more than she hates spiders or being locked in the dark." koaru said as he turned away from his brother.

"THAT'S IT!!!" Hikaru said with excitement.

Koaru turned to his brother in fear "What!"

"DRIVER DRIVE TO FATHERS OFFICE!"

"Hikaru! What ever in the world is the matter with you!" Koaru said in fear as he turned to his brother what idea he planted in that devils brain of his.

"You are a genius! I need to help her get over her fears and then she will love me!" Hikaru said in excitement.

"How ever in the hell do you plan to do that?!" Koaru said looking at his twin like he was criminally insane. which he was starting to get the feeling that he just might be.

"We will as father to design a room that we will put her fears in and I will prove to her its not that scary and there will be a glass we can see in to see whats going on." Hikaru said

"You want to build Ahiru a fear room and throw in Ahiru's biggest fears and show it to her. How do you plan to make her stay?" Koaru said looking at him with a raised brow

"I'll be there to watch." he said with a smirk.

"I want no part in this." he stated as he leaned back "This smells bad. I can already tell this will end horribly. I don't want to know anymore about it or your plans because if I don't know about it that means I can't be blamed by association." Koaru stated as the driver pulled up to the office.

Hikaru pouted "Fine." he said as he got out of the car

"Driver take me home." Koaru stated

"So...what do you need all these things for again?" Mr. Hitachiin scratched his head as he looked over the begging eyes of his eldest son.
"It's for an experiment."
"Why does it have to be in the house?"
"Because it just does. How else am I supposed to examine my specimen?" The older Hitachiin sighed and ran a hand over scruffy beard.
"How about a compromise?" Hikaru's face lit up and he gave his father a bear hug.

A few hours later Hikaru's special room as half way through completion. He stood under the cover of the lanai of the mansion, overlooking the construction. The expansive yard was littered with wood planks of differing sizes and workers milled about in bright yellow hardhats.

The rumble of large truck joined the cacophony of hammers, drills and yelling. A man signaled for the truck to stop before walking over to Hikaru.
"Umm, Hitachiin-san. The sand has arrived, we have entered the final stage of construction. Another two hours should do it."
The teenager nodded. "Alright carry on." As soon as the man turned his back, Hikaru's face broke out into a devious grin. "Now onto stage two." He had some more orders to make.

It had been a quiet few weeks. Students still flinched when Honey walked but the 9th grader hadn't reverted to his "dark" side ever since Ahiru begged him not to.
Kyoya was baffled by how a girl, any girl, could have the effect Ahiru had on all of them. He chuckled to himself, drawing gazes his way but he paid no mind.

He arrived at his destination; the most secluded corner of the library. Kyoya ducked behind rows of shelves, his most private area in the school consisted of a lonely desk illuminated by a simple, round window.

With a quick glance around the bookshelves he finally let himself relax at the desk. He pulled out his notebook and pen. The boy fidgeted, staring at the paper in frustration. He sighed and whispered to himself. "You can do this Kyoya."
His pen scratched out the words. 'Dear Ahiru'

The next day, Hikaru was practically bouncing with excitement. He ignored the confused and suspicious looks Kaoru kept shooting at him. No one, not even his brother, could ruin his mood right now.

Class was about to begin and Hikaru waited outside the room. Sure enough a certain brunette came dashing down the hallway. Hikaru was momentarily stunned by his princess, her long locks flowing wildly behind herself and her flushed face.

As she drew closer he saw her expression shift to cautious fear. Ahiru skid to a stop in front of him.

Hikaru held up his hands in mock surrender. "I'm not going to cause more trouble. I'm not that stupid. And as an apology I would like to invite you over to my...our estate after school."

She stared at him. "Don't worry Kaoru and my father are going to be there. We won't be alone. I'll wait for your reply after class." He pulled Kaoru in with him into the classroom.

Ahiru thought it over in her head all through class. Ever the day dreamer the teachers of each lesson would call on her to bring her back to attention only to have her thwart them by having the correct answer in every subject... except math.

"Kurosawa-san you need to learn to apply yourself more."

"Hai sensei." Ahiru said dejectedly as she doodled into her notebook.

Towards lunch time Ahiru picked at her meal unsure of whether or not she should accept the initiation.

Koaru sighed as he looked at his brother squirm. "Will you stop?" he said watching his brother twitch

"Why hasn't se talked to us yet?? What is wrong with her is she sick. She is extremely forgiving i don't understand why she won't accept." Hikaru said looking at ahiru pick at her food.

"This might be because she's hesitant to accept anything you have to offer."

"Help me."

"Why would i help you. I already know whatever you have schemed is a bad idea and I said I wouldn't take part."

"I'll do anything come on koaru."

"Anything?"

"I will even dye my hair pink."

"I will hold you to that..." Koaru said as he got up and walked over to ahiru watching her pick at her meal.

"Ahi-chan you can't tell me you actually plan to ignore your sweets" Koaru said as he pulled up a chair.

"Is your brother being sincere?" she asked staring at him. It was uncharacteristic of her to cut to the chase and be so blunt.

"Wow killing blow from the start....He is certainly being something Ahi-chan. He does miss you. Does he honestly plan to apologize I do not know but I will try to prevent any tricks from him. I won't let you be hurt anymore not if i have anything in my power to stop it." Koaru said sincerely

"Then... alright I'll go." she said with a smile.

Towards the end of the day Ahiru messaged Takuya to let him know she planned to spend some more time with Koaru.

His phone vibrated and Takuya slid it out of his pocket. The teachers didn't care, more than half the class was on their phones anyway. He quickly read the message and then reread it. Spending time with Kaoru definitely meant Hikaru would be tagging along like gunk on the bottom of your shoe. He hastily tapped a message, "NO!" and hit send. Then he sent another to the twins, "She cries, you die D:<".

Himeko leaned over his shoulder. "The way you fawn over your sister, people will start to talk." Her voice was light but her tone was dark. Her nails dug into his arm, "You're my boyfriend but you spend more time caring about her than me."

"She's my sister," he said. There was nothing wrong about being protective. Everyone felt drawn to Ahiru, their princess, so delicate and innocent. "Dear," he said, "family always comes first. Remember that." Takuya shook off her arm and pretended to listen to the lecture. Himeko fumed beside him, giving him the silent treatment. For once, he was glad she was mad at him.


Hikaru rubbed his hands in anticipation and ran the plan through his mind again. This is going to be good. It was the perfect plan, foolproof, the guarantee of Ahiru's love and affection. He paced along the limo, Kaoru had told him she accepted (which he never doubted she would), he couldn't control his nervous energy. He needed to see her now.

There she was, walking down the school entrance like an actress in a drama. The wind blew back her hair, she laughed as she tried to keep it at bay. Beside her walked Kaoru. They looked like they were enjoying each other's company, perhaps sharing a secret or two. Studying them as they approached, it was as if he pulled a snapshot from the future. Ahiru will smile at me like that one day.

Her eyes fell on him and instantly he felt the change in her mood. Her smile fell, her eyes were guarded, probably expecting him to throw something at her. "Hello," she said. She tightened her grip on her backpack (to ward him off?).

"Ahiru," he said. He opened the door to the limo and held it open. "Thanks for coming, you won't regret it." She slid in and Kaoru stared at him over the car door.

"You better not do anything."

"All is fair in love and war, bro." Hikaru hopped in, taking the seat across from his crush, "I hope we can make bygones be bygones." The limo sped away.

Ahiru sat primly in her seat and turned to look at Hikaru warily "Possibly...." she said unsure as she turned to Kaoru "I'm only agreeing to this because Kao-kun said he would keep an eye on you." she said as she looked out the window.

Kaoru watched his brother "When we get home we can work on some of our homework and then maybe play a game." he suggested watching Ahiru from the corner of his eye.

Ahiru nodded as she turned back to looking at the two "I guess this will be alright."

It took 30 minutes to arrive at the Hitachiin mansion and Ahiru smiled when they stepped onto the grounds. The house was actually quite lovely and she was eager to play a game after her homework. When she was younger she could remember playing tag with the two across the grounds.

All three entered the mansion and stepped into a private parlor and got to work on their homework. 30 minutes later found Ahiru laughing as Hikaru looked over his English assignment in frustration.

"Oh come now it is not that hard." she laughed

"Oh really princess, if it is so easy come over here and tell me what I'm doing wrong!" He growled out watching her as she pushed back and walked over to him to check over his work.

"You are mixing up your tenses Americans are not as formal with their speech." She stated as she pointed out where he went wrong.

Kaoru smiled as he leaned back watching the two fall back into a relaxed rhythm. 'They can be left alone for a little bit.' he thought as he slipped out of the room. He had something he wanted to get from his room and figured the two could be left alone peaceably for a short period of time.

Hikaru looked up immediately noticing his brother's departure. seeing this as his chance to spring his plan into action he smiled up at Ahiru. "Hey Ahi-chan I recently had something built in the other room if you want to see. Its super awesome." he stated with a smirk

"Really and whatever did you have built?" she questioned as she allowed Hikaru to lead her from the room into the 2nd parlor. When the enetered the room she saw a large metal box with 2 cilinerders and a large window.

"What in the world is this thing?" Ahiru asked walking around it.

"Its a testing room." Hikaru stated as he pulled her to the window. "See I put someone in it and there will be an object they can test out or they have to conquer like a scientist and out here I observe."

"O.k... so how would you work on it?"

"Well o.k so you can go in and we can try it out." Hikaru said with a large smile.

"Uh huh....Hika I'm not to sure about this."

"Come on you can trust me!"

Ahiru sighed as she went in the room it was bright white and when she looked around she relized she could not see outside of the room she was in. "Hikaru are you there!" she shouted

"I'm right here watching." a voice souned over the intercom "Now heres what we will test Why don't we conquer your fear of the dark I'll be right here and show you its not scary alright." he saied as he turned off the lights in the room and Suddenly Ahiru was thrown into darkness.

Ahiru yelled as she rushed for the door and started hitting it "Hika-kun this isn't funny!" she yelled

"Shhhh hey hey its just the light see!" Hikaru turned the light off and on repeatedly "Nothing to be scared over alright." he stated

Ahiru was still very jumpy but started to relax as she slid down the door.

"O...O.k..." she whimpered

"Now I'm going to leave the light of for a bit but I'm still right here." Hikaru said shutting the lights off as he started to execute the next segment of his plan. Pushing a button he heard a whirling sound as one of the cylenders contents started to be pushed into the the room.

Hearing the sound Ahiru jumped up "Hika-kun whats going on!" she shouted as she looked around wildly She could hear something emptying into the room from the walls and it stunk. Pressing herself against the door she could feel a mass filling the room and thud against her shoes it felt slimy and gritty and the smell disturbed her "Hika-kun stop!!" she yelled feeling frightened

Hikaru smiled as he watced the room fill with a mix of swam muck and rotten combination of grim and animal blood. It was the grossest thing he could fid and he was sure the next thing he filled that room with would be right at home. Pressing another buttom opened a hatch and soon the room was infested with millions of moving black dots not that Ahiru could see. The room was being filled with harmless spiders.

Ahiru started to shiver when she heared the sound of skittering "H....Hika? Hikaru whats going on!"

"Just getting rid of your fears my dear." he stated calmly "You are in a room with dirt, muck, and spiders in the dark. We will be coquering all your fears." he stated only to have Ahiru started crying and screaming as the smiders made it to her and started to climb all over her.

Not wanting to hear her scream he silenced her end of the mic and sighed "You will thank me for this later love now relax listen to some music." Hikaru smiled as he turned on some piano music and lean back in the chair he was going to watch her till she calmed down and then let her out fear conquered and she would love him.

Ahiru screamed as she tried to wade her way though the muck and flailed around trying to get the spiders off of her. She yelled and screamed and pouned the walls repeatedly.

Takuya texted everyone as he bounded down the stairs. He wished that they had taken the anonymous suggestion to install a slide; it would have made getting out of here quicker...and safer. Kyoya was waiting for him by his limo, “Those boys never learn.” The boys jumped in. Takuya flexed his fists and imagined wringing the redhead’s scrawny neck.

“I’m going to kill him if—“

“Driver to the Hitachiin estate,” Kyoya said. “Now.” They sped away, hoping for once Hikaru wouldn’t be an idiot but knowing at the same time it was impossible, like asking a fish to breathe air.

“Why?” Takuya asked, “Why does that bastard think he can mess with my sister?” His eyes were ablaze as he stared at Kyoya’s impassive mask.

“She isn’t your sister, not to him at least.”

“Excuse me? Do I need to show you our family registry?”

“No,” he said but it was clear his patience was thinning. “Kaoru mentioned it before. Of course, I didn’t think anything of it—"

“Spill it Ootori!”

“So he doesn’t see her as your sister but as a girl.” He waited for the information to sink in. “As in how a boy sees a girl...That he likes.” Kyoya let out a sigh, “Hikaru likes Ahiru.”

“You got to be shitting me! That little prick, after all he’s done?”

Kyoya shrugged, the answer eluded him as well. “They say love is blind.”

“Oh I’ll make sure he’s blind and castrated when I’m done with him.”


Mori flipped his phone shut, slipped in back into his pocket and strolled over to where Hani chatted away with some girls in their class. His cousin’s face was littered with crumbs and bits of icing and upon closer inspection, Mori noticed the entirety of the three desks (that they jammed together for group work) was covered in dirty wrappers and dessert plates.

“Mitsukuni,” he said. Hani craned his neck back to stare up at him.

“What is it Takashi? You want to join the cake club too?” Mori just shook his head. He opened to mouth to say, ‘Ahiru needs our help’, but the open and hungry eyes of the girls had him swallow his words. Instead, he said, “Emergency.”
Hani’s eyes widened and tears peeked out the corners of his eyes. “But—“
“No.”
That single word let forth the dam and Hani began to wail. “But I don’t want to go!” The girls huddled around him, pushing forkfuls of cake into his mouth.
“Morinozuka-kun look what you did,” a girl reprimanded him. If only Hani knew the real reason, he would leave the table in an instant. Mori wrapped an arm around Hani’s petit waist and hoisted him over his shoulder.
“Huh?” The blond blinked in surprise, “Takashi?”
“Trouble,” he said and dashed out of the room.
“Wait no Bun-Bun!” The pair re-entered the room, Hani grabbed the pink bunny then held up his hands to be picked up again. As he ran down the stairs, Mori filled his cousin on the details he had so far.

Hikaru yawned as he waited patiently in the kitchen for one of the chefs to whip him up a snack. all of his plotting worked up his appetite and Ahiru could wait in the Fear Room. He figured the longer she was in there to more the room would work on her. "She will conquer her fear and then praise me for my amazing Idea." he smiled to himself as he watched his chefs come up with an elaborate meal. 'Maybe after this I'll also take a nap just to make sure this really works.' he thought to himself.

Upstairs Kaoru was looking through his books to come up with a few pranks. He made sure to examine every angle of his plan while he worked time forgotten.

Down in the fear room, Ahiru had screamed herself hoarse as she shivered she could feel the spiders spinning webs and crawling up her arms and into her hair. She shivered at the feeling and closed her eyes the smell of the room made her nauseous and she was sure if she screamed anymore she could cough blood from straining her throat. She was not sure how long she was in there time seemed so much slower to her as she banged and clawed at the walls. She felt filthy.

Due to traffic it took an hour and a half to get to the Hitachiin Mansion. As the group walked up to the door Hani felt a cool wind that worried him. The servant opened the door to greet them.

“Where’s my sister?” Takuya shoved the servant out of his way. “Ahiru!” he screamed, his voice echoed across the wide dome of the foyer. “Ahiru! Where are you?” He ran upstairs, ignoring the servant’s futile attempts to calm him down.
“Please sirs, if you cause a scene I must ask you to leave.” The servant spread his arms to block their way. Hani stared up at the man, a cute smile on his face, “If you don’t move I might have to get physical.” The servant swore he could see flowers surrounding the smiling child. In the distance, they could hear Takuya’s yells and the slamming of doors. The servant reached down to grab the cellphone in his pocket; he needed security to excuse these guests.
“I warned you,” the smile on the boy’s face turned predatory and his tiny leg was the last thing the servant saw before he blacked out. Hani glanced over his shoulder at his friends, “now we find Ahiru.” Mori nodded and closed the door behind them.

Kaoru looked up from his work and at his door, it sounded like someone was yelling. “Oh, no,” he whispered. Did Hikaru do something to Ahiru? “I shouldn’t have left them alone,” he said and opened his door.
“Ahiru! Where are you?” Takuya yelled. Kaoru froze in his tracks. If he backtracked towards the servant’s entrance, he could make it down to the kitchen and then to the parlor. They locked eyes. It was too late. Upon instinct, the teen raised his hands in surrender. “I didn’t do anything, I swear.”
Takuya grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. “Where is my sister? If she’s crying I will murder both you and your brother.”
Kaoru nodded his head. “She was downstairs doing homework with Hikaru.” He gulped as Takuya glared at him. Turning, the older teen dragged Kaoru downstairs to the others.

“Ahi-chan!” Hani overturned the flower pot by the entrance. “She’s not here, either.” He sighed and ran to the first door he saw; it was a closet. “Ahi-chan!” he called again, pushing coats and designer jackets out of the way. “Where’s Ahi-chan,” he cried.
Mori tapped his shoulder, “Mitsukuni.” The taller boy pointed towards the destruction of the living room, dirt and flowers, pillows and shattered glass ornaments littered the floor. “Ahiru is too big to fit under the couch or in flower pots.”
“But that’s where Bun-Bun usually hides.” he cocked in head in thought. “The kitchen!” he rushed into the room to see Hikaru casually snacking at the table. “Hikaru! Where is Ahi-chan?” he demanded. Hikaru didn’t respond. “Hikaru!” Hani slammed his fist to the table and broke it in half. At last, Hikaru looked up and removed the earbuds.
“Hani-sempai, what the hell?”
Kyoya stepped up, he was smiling but the corners of his mouth twitched. “Hikaru, what a pleasant surprise, we were just looking for Ahiru.”
“So you break my table?”
“Where is she, Hitachiin?” The smile disappeared and a dark look filled his eyes. Hikaru swallowed hard. He had never seen Kyoya look so intense.
“She left,” he straightened up his posture, “we worked on some homework and left.”
Kyoya’s face remained impassive and he turned towards the chef, “Is this true?”
The chef, who was cowering by the pantry, nodded. “They were in the parlor when I began to prepare the meal and I heard them go outside but Master Hikaru returned alone.” He motioned towards the open parlor door. The boys saw open books and a notebook. As Kyoya drew closer, he noticed Ahiru’s handwriting on Hikaru’s homework. In a big speech bubble were quick notes on the right answer. His hand brushed against her words.
“Where’s your brother,” he asked.
“Right here,” Takuya said entering the room and thrusting Kaoru forward. “He says he left them alone while they were doing homework.”
“It was just homework!”
“Knowing you brother’s history with Ahiru, I’m surprised you left them unsupervised at all,” Kyoya said.
Kaoru felt a headache coming over him. “It wasn’t like they were completely alone, Abe was down here and so was Masaki,” he pointed to the chef.
“Abe?” Hani asked.
“He must mean the servant you persuaded to let us enter.” Kyoya said. He studied the twins and the chef. “When did she leave?”
Hikaru tapped his chin, “About an hour ago,” he shrugged.
“Maybe she returned home?” Kaoru added. He made eye contact with his twin, who blinked twice rapidly. ‘Go along with it.’ That was their sign for it, so Kaoru went along with it. “Like Hikaru said, she’s not here anymore.” He straightened up from the floor, “We might be pranksters, and Hikaru sometimes takes things too far but we didn’t do anything to her.”
Kyoya studied him. “Ok,” he said finally. “If you hear from her let us know and Takuya, go see if Ahiru returned to your estate.”

Abe groaned and sat up. His head was filled with pain and his jaw felt like it was burning. He stood and glanced in the mirror that hung by the front door. A large purple bruise decorated his cheek and jaw. He grimaced when he touched it. “How did this happen?” he asked myself. He heard voices in the kitchen and instantly the group of boys came to mind. “Those delinquents!” he ran to the kitchen, face red in anger (and possibly shame for being knocked out by an elementary school student). “You four!” he shouted. “Please leave the premises! The Hitachiins will not allow such acts of trespassing and –“
“Cool it, Abe,” Hikaru said. “Ouch, that’s a hell of a bruise. Anyways they were just going right?” The four boys looked at one another and nodded, they were wasting time here since Ahiru wasn’t here.
“Hitachiin,” Takuya began.
“Yea yea, I get it. You’ll kill me in the most painful way and then my brother. Just chill man,” Hikaru kicked his feet unto the broken table. “If we see her or hear from her, you’ll be the first to know.” He rubbed his head, “I learned my lesson from last time, don’t mess with the princess.”

The twins watched as the group piled into the car and the pull away. Once the limo became a speck in the distance, Kaoru turned to his brother and tackled him to the ground. He straddled his twin and held a fist poised and ready aimed at his face. "One chance Hika. Where is Ahi-chan if anything has happened to her I will sic Hani-chan on you I don't care if you are my twin." Kaoru said and watched as his brother lifted his hands up and shook his head and hands.

"I give! She's in the 2nd Parlor the one by the garden. I left her to get lunch She should be over her fear by now." he stated calmly "I was going to get her after my lunch, but then the group showed up." he said calmly as he got up and lead the way out to the Fear room he created. When they entered the room, it was extremely silent as Hikaru turned on the lights so Kaoru could see.

What greeted his eyes was abysmal "Hikaru.... what have you done?" he stated as he pressed up against the one-way glass and saw Ahiru huddled up in the corner of the room.

"She can't see you, but it looks like she is over her fear now," Hikaru chirped as he shut off the music in the room and Ahiru did not respond to it.

Kaoru looked at his brother like he was demented "Get her out now!" He shouted as he hit his brother.

Hikaru looked at his brother in confusion as he hit a few buttons that started to suck away the muck down some vents. Ahiru jumped at the feeling of the muck draining away. The lights flicked on made Ahiru jump as she pressed herself into the corner "I'll be good I'll be good." she whimpered as the door started to swing open. "Ahi-chan... it's me Kaoru its o.k," he began as he rushed in the room.He slowed when he saw her flinch. "Ahi-chan it's Kaoru its o.k I got you," he said as he slowly reached for the girl and helped her up. 
Kaoru helped lift the girl slowly and looked at her. She was dirty and he almost flinched at the spiders covering her almost head to toe. Steeling himself he started to leave the room Hikaru was bouncing for joy "Ahiru! So how are you feeling! Conquered your fear right! I am the great creator of this!" he fired off rapidly. 
Ahiru yelped at the sight of her fear and it made her back away quickly "No!!! I'm Sorry I'll be good! No more!" she yelled tears streaming down her face. Kaoru glared at his brother making him freeze.
"Why is she upset? she should be happy?"Hikaru said looking at his brother in confusion.
"Why is she scared!! Hikaru are you demented! You know what? You are Sick! She's afraid of you!" Kaoru shouted as Ahiru cried into his chest. Unable to stand the sight of his mirror he lifted Ahiru and carried her to the house.

Kaoru carried her to the bathroom. She left a trail of that oozing muck, that fell in wet clumps and stuck to his shirt. His nose wrinkled at the smell but he held her tight all the same. The spiders crawled up his skin and he resisted the urge to shudder as one went under his shirt.

The bathroom was just ahead. He shifted the girl in his arms to open the door. The room was lavish, containing a large in-ground bath hidden behind a cascading waterfall. Separating the room was a partition made with circular designs that meandered along its length. On the other side was a mirror that covered half the wall, right above the gold encrusted double sinks. He let her down, brushed off a few spiders from her shoulders, and looked her in the eye.

"Ahiru-chan, I'm sorry that this happened but it's going to be alright now. I'll start a bath and then go get you some clean clothes." She said nothing. Kaoru kneeled beside the tub and turned the water on. "It's filling up," he said in a loud voice. "I'll see if my mom has anything your size."

With that, he left the girl to her own devices. Turns out, his mother did have clothes that would fit Ahiru. Kaoru grabbed a few different outfits and rushed back to the bathroom. He knocked and waited. There was no answer. "Ahiru?" he knocked again, basically pounding his fist on the door. Water trickled from beneath the door frame. "Ahiru!" he cried and opened the door. The first thing he noticed was that the tub, indeed overflowed. The second was Ahiru standing with a pair of scissors in her hands and the clumps of hair that swam on the floor. He rushed forward and ripped the scissors from her hands. Tears streaked down her face.

"Stop! I need to cut them off." She clawed at her scalp. "They're still there! I can feel them." There were large patches of hair missing as she had haphazardly chopped and snipped.

"Ahiru," Kaoru had no words for the shivering girl before him. Instead, he pulled her close.

"Let's get you cleaned up."

Kaoru waited behind the partition as Ahiru bathed. He listened to her splashing the water angrily, possibly trying to rid herself of the memory of feeling the horrible little legs parade across her skin. He sat and listened, sometimes he spoke, just to remind her that he was still there. Some time passed before he heard the suck of the drain. When Ahiru emerged from the partition, Kaoru studied the lopsided hair cut she improvised. He clapped his hands, "Alright, dear Cinderella, before you go to the ball we need to do something about your hair." He attempted to style it himself but it proved impossible. "Wait here." He walked backwards so he could ensure she followed his orders. The scissors were safely discarded (in the trash) but desperate girls will go to desperate measurements. He grabbed a scarf from the pile of clothes he had brought in earlier and wrapped in around her head. The scarf was an awful shade of puce and clashed with the bright blue dress she wore. "It's going to have to do." He took her hand and led her to the front of the house.

Still no sight of Hikaru. Kaoru never thought he would be relieved to not see his twin.

Besides the door was an intercom, he pressed the button for the servants' quarters. "Abe, we need a ride to the hair salon."

"Right away sir." True to his word, Abe had the limo ready within minutes. Kaoru helped Ahiru in and glanced back at the mansion. It was just a silhouette by the window, but he knew his brother's figure from anywhere. The drive was quiet. Kaoru had to hold Ahiru's hands down; she kept scratching at her scalp, any harder and he feared she would draw blood.

"Look we're here." He pulled her inside and a stylist strolled up to the pair.

"Oooooo, one of the Hitachiin twins," she cooed. "What can I do for you?"

"Hello Rinku-san, I was hoping you could help my friend." He tugged at the scarf and Rinku let out a gasp.

"You poor girl! Did you and your brother do this?" The older woman glared at him but Kaoru shook his head rapidly. Turning back to the girl, Rinku said, "Don't you worry about a thing sweetie. There is nothing I can't fix."

Kaoru took a seat as Rinku worked her magic. After flipping through the same magazine about five times, Kaoru tossed it aside. He knew what he had to do next but the dread was sitting heavily in his stomach.

"Your girlfriend's ready," Rinku stepped aside to reveal Ahiru's new haircut. It was indeed shorter than ever but evened out. Her hair was parted to the side and Rinku gave her bangs to cover some of the thinner patches. Kaoru blinked, forgetting to even correct the stylist.

"Looks nice," he said.
